Dentisoft Technologies is a privately held company located in Bethesda, Maryland. The company is committed to expanding the scope of traditional practice management systems and the business of healthcare through the use of the internet.
Dentisoft's product line includes practice management systems, interactive search directories, e-marketing, and website hosting.
Dentisoft's PC-based practice system, Dentisoft Office Desktop, is now in its 11th version having first been released in 1995, and is one of the industry's leading practice systems for dental offices. Dentisoft Office OnLine (the internet's leading web-based practice system) has been operational since 2001. Together these platforms serve thousands of practitioners in all 50 states.

Dentisoft's DentistDirectory.com has been one of the pioneers in online search for dental consumers and now incorporates DentalAppointments.com, a next-generation product which allows consumers to do more than just find a dentist in their area. Dental consumers can now fully interact with their dentist's practice system via a two-way, real-time connection. Consumers now expect more from their online experience, and through DentalAppointments.com they can make appointments, view/pay their bills, discuss clinical options, and more. DentalAppointments.com is offered directly to consumers via Google and other search directories or via insurers, HSA administrators, and employers as well; creating a value-added product enhancement for those who provide dental benefits to consumers.
The company is run by dental industry veterans who bring unique perspectives on operating technology within a healthcare environment. As a result, the primary focus for the business is to provide a variety of interconnected and proprietary product offerings which facilitate the business of dentistry: scheduling, clinical documentation and image management, billing and bill payment, secure messaging, marketing, e-transactions, and financing. To this end, dentists, insurers, dental equipment and drug manufacturers, as well as dental consumers can now interact online via the Dentisoft Office product suite. It is the first business "eco-system" for dentistry.
The company is headed by Jeff Ulanet, a 20-year dental industry veteran of CIGNA Dental, Dental Benefit Providers, and United Healthcare. Mr. Ulanet acted as Chief Financial Officer of CIGNA Dental in the mid-90's, and Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Dental Benefit Providers and United Healthcare Dental until 2002. |
